Delete Your Leaflo Account

Account deletion steps, verification rules, retention limits, and guest-mode caveats.

This page explains how to request deletion of your Leaflo account and associated data.

1. Your options

If you have a Leaflo account, you can request deletion in one of these ways:

  1. Inside the app — through the in-app account deletion flow, when available in the released version.
  2. By email — by contacting [email protected] from the email connected to your account.

2. Verification

To protect your account, we may require:

  • re-authentication in the app,
  • confirmation from the email address linked to your account,
  • or another reasonable identity check before deletion is completed.

3. What happens when your account is deleted

When your deletion request is completed:

  • your Leaflo account is deleted,
  • associated account/auth data is deleted,
  • note and meditation sync metadata linked to that account is deleted,
  • note and meditation operation logs linked to that account are deleted,
  • telemetry linked to that account user ID and/or known account device IDs is deleted,
  • active service access tied to that account ends,
  • account recovery may no longer be possible.

Leaflo is designed so that note content is primarily stored locally on your device in encrypted form. Depending on how you used the product, note/meditation metadata, telemetry, and account records may exist on the backend and are removed as part of account deletion where applicable.

4. What may remain for a limited time

Some data may remain for a limited period where needed for:

  • security,
  • fraud or abuse prevention,
  • legal compliance,
  • short-lived backup rotation.

Backups may persist for up to 30 days before they are overwritten in the normal backup cycle.

If technical records have already been de-identified or aggregated so they are no longer linked to you, they may remain in that de-identified form.

5. Guest mode

If you used Leaflo only in guest mode, outcomes depend on whether a cloud guest session existed:

  • if a guest cloud session exists, you can request account deletion in-app (or by email) for that guest account,
  • if you used only local/offline guest mode with no cloud session, deleting the app or local app data on your device may remove local data, subject to your device and backup settings.

6. Export before deletion

Where export is available, you should export any content you want to keep before requesting deletion.

Once deletion is completed, recovery may not be possible.

7. How to request deletion by email

Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line:

Please send the request from the same email address connected to your account whenever possible.
